To Find Love Means To Find Yourself

Finding love means finding yourself

Many women long to find love in their lives, but ignore the fact that in order to find love, they must first find themselves. The book Hambre de Amor (Hungry for Love) written by Ana Moreno takes a closer look at this topic, and we will do the same in this article.

As a woman, I ask you: why do you need a partner? To replenish a part of you that you think is missing? To fill a void? Because you’re afraid of being alone? Why do you feel helpless when you are single? If you don’t already know, I’ll tell you now: a partner won’t solve any of your problems. It might even make them worse.

Presenting a relationship as a form of co-dependency will only lead to emotional failure. You can only have a healthy relationship if it is a conscious one.

True love comes from within

Women need to feel loved, but true love comes from within. A woman who loves herself will radiate and receive love. Think about it: you can’t pull something into your life if you don’t already have it.

Find Love

If you don’t feel like you’re made of love, you’ll think you need someone else to complete you. But this thought can lead to possessiveness, because you will feel that you are nothing without the other person. However, this is selfish, and love and selfishness do not mix.

More importantly, you recognize that what draws you to you is what you have to offer. If you try to be someone you are not, you will not find an authentic person. If you don’t show true love and respect for yourself, you will find someone who doesn’t love or respect themselves, let alone you.

It’s never too late to find yourself

Even if you haven’t found a partner, or if you’re not happy with the relationship you’re in, it’s never too late to find yourself, to develop the love that’s within you, instead of looking elsewhere to go looking. For Ana Moreno, it’s as simple as acting with love, honesty, and appreciation; share what you have to offer; and give yourself to others.

The greatest thing about this way of understanding love is that you don’t need anyone else to feel complete. It doesn’t matter whether or not you find love, how other people see you, or how other people react based on their own needs and dependencies. All of this involves completing an important exercise in self-confidence, personal growth, and the discovery of your own values, because you can only love yourself if you know who you are.

You don’t need anyone to complete you

You are enough. You don’t need anyone to complete you. Your partner can help you be a better version of yourself and bring out the best in you. You can build a life together and grow together. But if you are dependent on your partner and/or if your partner is dependent on you, you will only drag each other into each other’s trap.

Find Love

Knowing yourself is enough to create love in your life. This way you will avoid that your effort has been in vain, for example when you try to please others or behave exactly the way you think the other person wants you to. Trying to be someone you’re not won’t make you happy, and it won’t make anyone else happy, even if it seems like it. Always remember that if your priority is to make the other person happy, without thinking about your own needs, you will only end up feeling emptier and more incomplete.
